Please excuse the lack of updates to this blog over the past week or so.
Around this time of year my wife and I and her family spend a week or so vacationing in Arcadia, Michigan where my wife's grandmother owns a vacation home about an 8-iron from Lake Michigan. I have included a few pictures with this post to share some of the scenery. The first is self-explanatory, the second is my god-daughter, Emma, (Karyn's youngest sister) and I, the third is Karyn and I, and the fourth is once again Emma. It is no surprise that the majority of the pictures we came back with are of the 3 year old and the scenery, since cameras are automatically drawn to the little ones.
All told it was a great vacation and one that I hope we can continue to take for many years to come. As you will see from my next post, I couldn't help but think about estate planning and law stuff while I was away. I guess that just comes with the territory. But it is also indicative of why vacation properties are the subject of many estate planning problems. They mean a lot to the family members and the memories last forever.
